(1) Trommel Screen Introduction

The Trommel screen provide a simple, efficient and economical solution to upgrade a wide rang of material and optimize the subsequent process steps of recovery. This method of screening helps to reduce operating and investment cost and to increase product quality, while allowing rapid and large volume processing.

This material is then passed on to the downstream process equipment which can be in various forms such as centrifugal Concentrator, spirals, jigs etc.

(2) Trommel Screen Construction

Trommel screen is consist of round trommel, rack, descharging, speed reducer, motor, water flusher etc 6 parts. Crushed ore feed into trommel, with the help of rotating centrifuge power and jigging to classify materials. And classify from different screen mesh. Different size materials will convey to finished materials after funnel. On one hand, big size materials will flow front along the trommel inclination, and screen out from different mesh. Small size will discharge its own hopper and carry out by hand.

(4) Trommel Screen Working Principle

Trommel Screen, Material feeds into the drum, is lifted up by the rotation and aerated as it falls back down. This action is repeated with each revolution along the length of the drum. The finer material passes through the screen openings while the larger material tumbles towards its eventual exit at the rear of the drum.
